Founded in Leesburg by fourth-generation wartime Army veteran Ted Adair, Oath & Oak supports veterans as they move into the next chapters of their lives. The Outpost provides a welcoming third space outside of home and work where veterans, families, and neighbors can connect, share experiences, and build community.
We believe every veteran carries perspective that matters. By sharing stories, learning together, and engaging with emerging technologies including digital media and AI, veterans can grow, lead, and create new opportunities for themselves and others.
The Outpost is growing as a living network of mentorship, storytelling, and civic engagement. It is a place to gather, to belong, and to help shape what comes next.
Our Purpose
Oath & Oak exists to help veterans build meaningful lives after service. We do this by fostering connection, sharing stories, and creating pathways for personal and professional growth.
We believe storytelling is a civic act. When veterans share their experiences, they strengthen the communities they return to and help shape how service is understood.
We also believe veterans should have access to the tools of the future. Through workshops, mentorship, and exposure to emerging technologies including digital media and AI, we support veterans as they pursue new skills, launch businesses, and explore new career opportunities.
The Outpost is our model: a community hub rooted in Leesburg, Virginia, where veteran storytelling, learning, and local partnerships drive impact that can be replicated anywhere.
