Oath & Oak is a veteran-led community hub rooted in Leesburg, Virginia.
It’s home to inspiring podcasts, meaningful gatherings, and workshops on storytelling, leadership, entrepreneurship, and emerging tools like artificial intelligence for the modern economy.
Our Story
Oath & Oak is where service meets story and where tradition finds new ground.
Founded in Leesburg by fourth-generation Army combat veteran Ted Adair, Oath & Oak exists to help veterans move into the next chapters of their lives. The Outpost is a welcoming third place outside of home and work where veterans, families, and neighbors gather to connect, reflect, and build community.
We believe every veteran carries perspective that matters. Through storytelling, mentorship, and shared learning, we help veterans make sense of where they have been and imagine what comes next. The work here is practical, grounded, and rooted in lived experience.
At the Outpost, that work shows up through workshops and hands-on sessions focused on real-world growth. Veterans and community supporters learn how to strengthen networks, develop ideas and businesses, navigate modern platforms, and tell their stories with clarity and purpose. Digital media and emerging capabilities, including artificial intelligence, are used thoughtfully to amplify human insight and expand opportunity, never to replace it.
The Outpost continues to grow as a living network of podcasts, gatherings, mentorship, and civic partnerships rooted in place and purpose. It is a place to belong, to build, and to help shape what comes next, together.
Our Purpose
Oath & Oak exists because too many veterans return home with experience that is undervalued, misunderstood, or quietly set aside. We believe communities are stronger when that perspective is welcomed, shared, and put to use.
Storytelling is a civic act. When veterans tell their stories with honesty and care, they preserve hard-earned lessons, deepen understanding across generations, and help shape how service is remembered and understood.
Purpose also requires opportunity. Veterans should not be left behind as work, culture, and technology evolve. Access to modern skills, networks, and platforms is essential for veterans to build agency, contribute meaningfully, and continue leading beyond the uniform.
The Outpost is how this belief takes form: a locally rooted model where connection, learning, and partnership reinforce one another. A community hub built in Leesburg, Virginia and designed to scale, it reflects a simple idea. When veterans are equipped, connected, and heard, communities grow stronger.

Where Veteran Stories Take Root.
The Outpost is Oath & Oak’s home, setting the tone for how we gather, learn, and share stories. While our roots are local, our work is designed to travel.
Our primary Jump Outpost is located upstairs at Rebellion Bar & Kitchen in historic downtown Leesburg, where we record The Oak Lines podcast and host recurring gatherings and workshops. From there, we deploy pop-up Outpost gatherings with trusted partners across Leesburg and the surrounding community.
Wherever we gather, the purpose remains the same: create space for veterans, families, and neighbors to connect, learn, and build what comes next.
