Oath & Oak is a veteran-led community hub rooted in Leesburg, Virginia.
It’s home to inspiring podcasts, meaningful gatherings, and workshops on storytelling, leadership, entrepreneurship, and emerging tools like artificial intelligence for the modern economy.
OUR MISSION
Give veterans, spouses, and caregivers economic agency in an AI-enabled world — by rooting them in community and equipping them to lead with the tools reshaping work.
OUR STORY
Rooted in service.
Built for what’s next.
The Oath & Oak is a hub for veterans, military families, and those who serve. We run programs on AI, entrepreneurship, and leadership — all rooted in real-world application.
From The Outpost in downtown Leesburg — a coffee bar, gathering space, and media studio — to our digital programs and partner events, everything we do is grounded in community and purpose.
THE NAME
Oath
The promise made to the Constitution, taken in front of Independence Hall in the spring of 2000. Not to a commander, not to a branch, not to a government. To an idea.
Oak
Stability. Rootedness. Community. In Gaelic, Adair means the oak tree at the riverbend.
One word for a promise. One word for a place to keep it.
WHAT IS OATH & OAK
One mission. Three pillars.
01Community
The Outpost
Place-based programming and monthly First Friday gatherings that root veterans in Loudoun County. Belonging precedes everything.
02Veteran Professional Development
Change of Mission
Two mutually supporting elements that prepare veterans, technically and professionally, for what comes next.
AI Fieldcraft
The technical half — applied AI programs from foundation to advanced. Veterans graduate AI-operational, with a working tool, not a certificate.
The Human Edge
The non-technical half of professional readiness — identity, leadership, storytelling, and the unwritten rules of civilian work. What no tool can replace.
03Media & Storytelling
Oaklines
Long-form veteran storytelling on podcast, video, and newsletter. The trust engine that amplifies every other pillar.
Two fronts.
One mission.
Oath & Oak builds veteran readiness on two fronts — practical AI skills and the human strengths technology can’t replace. All programs serve veterans, military spouses, and caregivers through cohort-based, practitioner-led learning.

Where Veteran Stories Take Root.
The Outpost is Oath & Oak’s home, setting the tone for how we gather, learn, and share stories. While our roots are local, our work is designed to travel.
Our primary Jump Outpost is located upstairs at Rebellion Bar & Kitchen in historic downtown Leesburg, where we record The Oak Lines podcast and host recurring gatherings and workshops. From there, we deploy pop-up Outpost gatherings with trusted partners across Leesburg and the surrounding community.
Wherever we gather, the purpose remains the same: create space for veterans, families, and neighbors to connect, learn, and build what comes next.
